Based on a non-fiction book of 1996, into the wild by Jon Krakeur, Into the wild movie is about the real story of Cristopher Jhonson McCandless who left his family and traveled around to realize god's great gift of life.The story begins with the college graduation of Cristopher Jhonson McCandless from Emory University. He doesn't wants a materialist and coventional mind. He thinks that his parents Walt and Billie McCandless are entrapping him into a future of traditional lifestyle which he doesn't want. Also he is sick of hearing his father and mother's quarrel and fight. In order to be free from this social life and this civilization he decides to travel around and go to Alaska far from this society. So, he destroys all of his credit cards and identification documents, donates his earning of US$ 24000. He sets out in his car towards his ultimate dream: Alaska, to experience life in the wilderness. But Christoher doesnt tells his family nor his beloved sister Carine. Whatever he does, where ever he goes he dosen't let his family know neither he communicates with them and leaving them to become increasingly anxious and eventually desperate.

He travels around forests surviving on the wild and he is happy doing that. Along his travel, he meets a hippie couple Jan Burres and Rainey. He forms a good friedship bond with them and stays with him for many days. They were all happy with each other but McCandless leaves them one night to persue his real goal. As McCandless continues his journey, he decides to work for a contract harvesting company owned by Wayne Westerberg. He learns many things there like harvestng the crops, running g
iant tractors. He also forms a good bond with Westerberg but when westerberg is arrestsed, McCandless is forced to leave.
